Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

TinPanVa, that was quite the estate sale! Awesome pickup of knives ... Many ::tu:: and Congrats!

A few days ago, this “stockman” pattern or style of pocket knife, arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. This pocket knife now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. I definitely did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a CASE XX 9333, three blades (one is a stub), two tang stamps, 2 5/8” closed, two springs, "stockman", pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (VERY WORN) says, “CASE (over) XX” The main blade back tang stamp (VERY WORN) says, “9333” The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does have a WEAK half stop. The secondary blade does have an GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The third blade (stub) does have a WEAK half stop. The third blade (stub) does have a GOOD opening snap. The third blade (stub) does have an OK closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in POOR condition. This pocket knife did need some cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Picked this guy up very recently, pictures don’t even begin to show how great those covers look, it makes you want to lick them! It’s in really great shape and I’m glad to be the next steward to look over it for awhile. I tried looking it up in the Long Haul Book but didn’t have any luck. That book is great unless you’re tracking down a proto. Not at all easy like it is with GECs.

Thanks everyone, really happy with this one! Thin coat of Renaissance Wax didn’t hurt either, now it looks like sticky wet honey (in Roger’s Bone) lol!

I’m having to rearrange the display to accommodate it.
