Way to go David.
He probably didn't want the old man to show him up! ::nod::

Did he at least grill that beauty and give you 3 or 4 chunks?

Good morning Ike
No he didn’t bring it home. He gave it to the friend who drove. This is the second time and with all the added gas taxes we pay in this state he knew it was the correct thing to do.
David does things correctly in these situations. We taught him don’t show up to a party or any event family or friends without bringing something to the party besides himself.

Looks deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious, Steve! There's an Austro-Hungarian place in Old Town and I get the grilled trout often, love it. 🤤

That’s a fine looking meal 1967redrider!!

The wild turkey federation has a big thing here every year, they stock the pond in the local Boy Scouts camp with about 500 pound of catfish. We took the kids down there and put a whooping on them. They sure eat good, grateful for every second I get to spend in gods creation.

I went to a catfish fry outside of Shreveport (Monroe, LA) about 29 years ago, the best catfish I have ever tasted. The "chef" was deep frying it in a turkey cooker. Man, that was awesome.

Those are all nice looking catches and look wonderful in the pan. David and I went crappie fishing few years back and I caught a cat. The guide explained how to clean it properly and it was absolutely delicious. Enjoy all the fish.

Thank you I ain’t eat much crappie, not to many lakes around here got em. Walleye and perch are probably my favorite best tasting fish, but hard to come by here. There’s a few walleye around, but I don’t think there’s any perch around these parts.

To those that think there aren’t alligators in SE-NC, tonight we crossed paths with this Alligator mississippiensis during our evening stroll.

Would that be because it had been hunting/fattening up after Winter hibernation ??? Or are they active all year ???

I’m really not sure, I believe they hibernate lol this is the first one I’ve seen in a couple years. I remember reading online somewhere they said the population of timber rattlers was on the decline around here

My granddaughter has a ball python for a pet.
She and her dad (my son) did a lot of research before getting it to make sure they did it right.
I'll give her this, she shows a lot of responsibility with it.
Take care and God bless,

Are bobcats really plentiful in your area, or do they see people often enough that they aren't that skittish? I rarely see them, and if I do it is just a very fleeting glimpse.
I enjoy the pictures that you post, Floyd, thanks.

Ike, there is a public park in Arlington Tx which parallels the Trinity River. It has some walkways through undeveloped woods. There is sufficient foot traffic on the walkways that the bobcats are use to seeing walkers and bikers. They are by no means tame but the are accustomed to seeing people. But there are a number of them scattered through out the DFW metroplex that it is not uncommon to see them. It's always a joy to me. Coyotes are probably more common. Thanks.

I am about 40 minutes outside of Fort Worth, and we see bobcats - maybe once every 3 or 4 months on our place. We see them - and coyotes and foxes - occasionally out of the back windows of our house. I have a game camera on the back part of our property, and I check it every 6 weeks or so. I don't remember not seeing bobcats, coyotes, and foxes when I check.
Mike
