eBay can be a wealth of misinformation. AI descriptions are just about ridiculously stupid and description from real live sellers can be just as bad.
I saw this eBay sale for this newer Parker era Case 1051L made in Germany with notoriously gassing celluloid handles. The seller titled the sale as "ANTIQUE CASE GS1051 LP BRADFORD PA **(1914-1919)**WITH FISHTAIL GUARD" I notified the seller that the knife was not an old Bradford knife and he responded that he had done his research and the knife was what he stated. The knife did not sell for the $425 starting price so it waws relisted and did sell for the $425 opening bid.
I personally wouldn't pay $5 for one of these self-destructing celluloid bombs but it appears that someone took the bait and is about to receive this gem. I don't know if the buyer will ever realize what was actually purchased but judging from the pictures provided by the seller the knife isn't long for this world.

Speaking of eBay misinformation here is a knife that is ripe for the picking. A beautiful "Case Stockman Pocket knife Orange Bone" priced at an attractive $165 plus TT&L.

I have one in Tortise that I picked up more than a few moons ago. It's not showing signs of outgassing, but one never knows when.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I guess AI isn’t smart enough to find that information. Several of the knives have turned up here on AAPK. Despite the mark side stamp being what it is, the knives are easily identified by the pile side stamp.
