Tom T. Hall and songs with knives

Post by American Blade 92 »

Tom T. Hall is one of my favorite artists of yesteryear.
I was pretty devastated when I found out he shot himself.
It's interesting he wrote a song back in the day titled "The Man Who Shot Himself"
He wrote so many songs that were hits for himself and others. A can think of a couple songs of his he mentions knives. "The Whittler" and "Levi Jones"
Case Cutlery made a trapper with a straight razor blade in place of the spey blade bearing Hall's picture card, signature and etching of " old dogs, children and watermelon wine"
I actually bought one last year for $80.
Can you think of any other songs or artists related to knives?

I loved Tom T. Great songwriter/storyteller. And I did not know he shot himself. DAMN!

No mention of knives, but "I Remember The Year Clayton Delaney Died", "Me And Jesus" and "I Love Beer" are some of my favorite Tom T. tunes.

And nice knife!

Nice commemorative knife. ::tu::

Surprised that being a Tom T. Hall fan you didn’t mention his “Salute to a Switchblade Knife”. There are a number of knife songs here over in the Music Forum https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... .php?f=117 including “The Randall Knife” by Guy Clark.
