Got my RoseCraft and I'm disappointed

Post by American Blade 92 »

Disappointed I don't have one hundred of them!!!
This IS a beautiful, I'd say, flawless knife.
I'm legitimately impressed. Razor sharp from the factory, that's something I'm not used to, cough cough, Case. 🤣

So, I’m guessing your next “boycott” is against Case?

That sounds good to me. 🤣
Case is waaaay too expensive!
They're quality is really gone down hill. Gaps in liners, blade rub, bad centering, garbage fake etched tang stamps!!

Case tang stamps are now laser cut.

Makes no difference to me. Companies change how they do things all the time.
Some like it, some don't care, some hate change.
Sounds like you're against it. Why don't you like it?

I am against it. I get a feeling they're doing it just to cut costs and corners which they are already the leaders in such endeavors. I just feel like the laser etch won't last as long or as well as a traditional stamp.

I am among those who don’t care much one way or another about the change to laser etching. While laser etching isn’t as durable as a stamp, it is very durable. Certainly durable enough for any knives that I own personally.

On my safe queens any tang markings will be preserved and on my users I have already made the decision not to worry about preserving any aspects of the knives outside of functionality.

I do however, understand the importance of longevity for future generations. I wouldn’t want to be born in 2027 and When I’m 40 years old have a Case knife that I can’t identify because it has lost its markings. I’m not sure if that’s possible in reality though. Like I said, I feel that laser etching is very durable.
