Can I introduce, by way of showing his work, this guy named Don? Here is one he recently sold on ebay:

I didn't buy the knife, just cheered him on. I did however take advantage of Don by supplying him with some project knives. In return he sent me some of his work. The brand of the knives is not important; it's his work that is. I always wanted a black micarta toothpick, and now I have two, with filework to boot. Very nice!
And a nice little wood handled beauty.
I'll try and get Don to stop by and say hello.
Phil

Don's Latest is one of the knives I traded to him for some of his work. He put Candy Striped Cell on for the handles and did some fancy filework. What do you think?

That's great looking cell...and a very nice knife, Phil.
Do you know if he happens to work with pearl? I got a neat little Hen & Rooster in a trade, but it has a chunk missing. Maybe he could do a scale replacement for me?

I just looked at the eBay link you provided...
I wonder if he would be interested in my little project?

Thanks for the support phil! And the kind words guys.I've been collecting, buying and selling, and cleaning knives for around 25 yrs.I have a good friend,Mike (Tank)Fisher , a full time knifemaker, that has been kind enough to show me a few things this past year or so.I very much enjoy the hobby and i feel a glimmer of hope that i may actually be good someday
I started out by buying 75 Frost traditional folders from a good buddy you may see on ebay autumn-noel.I trashed many a folder before i started getting them somewhat right.I'm getting into my Buck collection now and feeling pretty confident.El Lobo, that little folder is more than i would feel comfortable taking on right now,but i'd be happy to hook you up with Tank.Great site btw,i'll sure stop in again.
