need cattaraugus blade fixed........

hi there guys this is my dads' old EDC that broke a blade...... sadly.........he has now givin' it to me and i would like ta have her fixed up!!!!! i am a lil' financially embarrassed but maybe if toooo much $$$ i can do part trade/$$$??? thanx in advance
#'s on both little blades are 42049 main blade just has co. name........

That is a neat old knife.

It would probably be a tough chore to replace that blade. First it would be hard to find that blade. Secondly, other than the fact that she's a blade shy, that knife looks to be in pretty good shape. Third, to replace that blade would require the knife to be taken apart. and put back together with new pins. There are some quite capable men here who are up to that task and will do it very nicely, but the value of that knife will be somewhat diminished by virtue of the fact that it has been worked on and is no longer "original".

If it was mine, I'd leave it as it is and enjoy it for the the fact that is was your dad's old partner.

yeah......i have had a hell of a time trying to find one... ........blade that is......
and yes in awesome shape...as vintage edc's go!!!!!! except that darn blade
also if i had blade i would prob./maybe/not sure yet .. try to replace the blade myself....if all else fails send it out .....i consider myself handy soooooooo who knows?? ?????
also.... isn't the value really lost cuz broke blade????? my dad felt so......
i do still carry it , just cuz pop did!!!!!! just wanna see her shine again ...i guess????
he also gave me a broke case stockmen i posted on here..under wanted..or mechanics???? i think????
sheesh.......way ta make a guy "think"..... WILLIE!!!!!!!! lol what ta do.........

side note :the case needs a slab and blade.......gotta be fixed!!!! what a pickle

Speaking personally, it that blade was broken when my dad carried it, I would leave it that way,
But that is just me.
