Here's one for Single Blade Saturday that I just picked up from Bill.

I started out very partial to the stockman pattern, but lately have been gravitating more toward single blade knives. Here are a couple that I have re-handled, which were originally 2-blade patterns. I like their simplicity.

Also, it seems that, with a two-blade jack knife, it's most often the smaller blade that gets broken. Wonder why?

I tend to prefer single blade knives and most of the knives in my collection reflect that preference. Like Brent's knives, here's one that originally had multiple blades but was modified to a single blade knife.

One more that I just finished about 30 minutes ago. An old LF&C that had a broken secondary, so I made it into a single blade. The wood has some nice reddish sub-tones in the sunlight...

Redrider - that Presto has nice clean lines.

Brent - very good work saving those old knives with a broken blade. All three look like good EDC knives.

Kevin - I like the color on the bone on that Colonel Coon.

I do not have a lot of single blade knives. Here is a nice Case that I found while looking for a property corner marker with a metal detector.

It is still fully functional. I have used it just for the heck of it. It is kind of serrated now.

Here’s one I picked up recently. A Bear & Son Barlow. Normally their fit and finish is lousy but this one is great. Great knife for about $50
