There is a story being circulated on face book that using A I an exact replica of a Case Tested XX knife can be produced...If so...the counterfeit market will explode ::woot:: ::cb::

Why can’t people harness energy and use it for good. Too many people out there trying to screw the next guy instead of earning it like we all do. But good always wins in the end…

Yeah right, just like AI is going to replace my water heater, or change the oil in my SUV. It takes experienced and skilled people to do that, just like it always has.

If the knife produced is anything like the AI eBay descriptions? I am far from sure the knife would pass inspection. Scary thought at any rate.

Interesting thought. It could go as far as reproducing anything of
value I guess- stamps, coins, art, documents.

If something looks to be too perfect for its age possibly consider it fake.

The man is right, what is written on Facebook is ALWAYS true. Here I was reading that soon AI will turn into Skynet and enslave humanity. And now I'm waiting for the zombie apocalypse...
I just didn't understand why AI was needed to make a fake, but who am I to doubt it? ::dang::

AI generators aren't interested in reproducing pocket knives yet.
When they start making equipment cheap enough and forgers get savvy enough I'll be long gone.

Artificial Intelligence can copy the shape. It can’t copy 100 years of wear, steel, and history. Good fakes might increase, but great collectors aren’t getting fooled.
