Moore Maker Question(s) ???
I have read a lot of posts about Moore Maker Knives. Can some of you tell me about them. For example, do they make a congress knife? If not, Who can I, or should/could I, buy from? I saw one place and the trapper had a nice looking leather case (belt?) with it, is that right, is it for your belt. And, what are the favorite patterns? Are ther knives of good quality? Do they have different handle materials? I saw just the buffalo horn. I am thinking about purchasing one, if not from Bryan, then can someone send me the right way? Thanks so much

I don't know about the congress knives, but I just recently bought my first Moore Maker about a month ago. Here is a link to the exact model...
Trapper Link
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks real nice and the sheath is indead wonderfully made. Belt loop? Absolutely!
That particular online store that the link goes to belongs to Jeff Jones, who is a dealer for Moore Maker (agteacher2 is his AAPK allius). I'm sure if you contact him, he will tell you if congresses are available.
I didn't see one in his store. Here is a link to all of his Moore Makers...

I've sung the praises of Moore Maker on this board, and I encourage you to get one. The knife I carry and use most is a 3 7/8 punch blade stockman with yellow delrin handles. I have another in buffalo horn that I haven't used yet, but it's beautiful. I also have a jumbo trapper which comes with that really cool belt pouch Bryan refers to. I don't think they make a congress.
My understanding is these knives are contracted out to Camillus (delrin and buffalo horn) and queen (bone and stag). All three of mine would be the Camillus variety, and all I can say is I'm extremely satisfied. Fit and finish are excellent -- great users. My favorite thing about them is the 1095 carbon steel blades. Takes a great edge and stays sharp. You really have to be careful about rust though.
I've purchased from Cowboy knife sales on e-bay
http://stores.ebay.com/Cowboy-Knife-Sal ... viewQQtZkm
and also directly from mooremaker.com
I would highly recommend either one.
If you order through Mooremaker.com, you might get a call from one of the Moore brothers letting you know it's on the way. I think it was David Moore who called me. Great people, and great customer service, obviously.
Regards,
Jim

I did have a link to the Moore Maker congress in my store but I pulled it because I didn't have a picture of the yellow knife. I put it back up ,still with the brown picture. http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/sto ... 7-407.html
