Yes
I acquired this Bowie over a year ago. I've discussed it with mark zalesky and a few other heavy hitters. No one can remember seeing one before, if they did- I've gone back to a few different auction sites researching it. I've have found this exact knife several times. The unique stag slabs are like a finger print signature. I've gone back through old Bowie auction catalogs thinking one like it would pictured in the back with other later collectable bowies.
More than one collector has postulated the idea that it might be the only one.
I don't know how to correctly price it not haveing another example to judge by.
I'm open to any ideas or thoughts about it. 😎🗡️⚔️🔪

Did it originally come in that display, or was that added by you or the previous owner?

When I acquired the knife, I saw the leather sheath was suffering from dry rot on the tip of the sheath about 1 and 1/2 inches and the snap strap was also becoming unstable and didn't want to use the original sheath anymore. I came up with this magnetic display board to display not only the Bowie but the original sheath as well. I didn't want to have another sheath made and drag along the original sheath with it as well. So- this board goes on the wall or props up on a table while allowing the knife or the sheath to be removed and inspected. As far as the printing shop label at the top, I put it there to show the knife and promote discussion about the knife hoping someone would have seen another one somewhere. Sort of stirring the conversation about it to further the research. That's why I decided to post it here.

So - in all practicality, I'm looking to take the label off of the top of the board and replace it with a fair price. when I can find another one.

Thanks for the additional information.

It definitely is not the only one as I have had one exactly the same for 30 years or more. I can't remember if I have the sheath for it or not.

I don't store my fixed blade knives in the scabbard due to verdigris issues. When I find it I will take a picture of the knife.

I've seen modern camillus Santa Fe stone works knives.
The older coffin bolster crown pen knife I posted a thread on, do you have any information on the patent?

With the thread you want to link showing on your screen copy the whole top line on your screen that starts with https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com then paste that into a reply.

Probably someone can tell us a quicker way but that works.
