Regional Knife Advice

Hello everyone, I recently had an opportunity to buy part of a gentleman’s collection. I still have a chance to go back and buy more but I need advice on buying regional knives and what their value is so I can make an educated offer. The knives are attached, ignore the Case and Marbles blades I’m good there, it’s the J. Neel, Z. McGarity, R. Henderson & Son, & Dunn of Shiloh GA.

In general, my experience is that regional knives only sell well in their specific region, unless the maker has gained nationwide notoriety. I'm not familiar enough with the brands you mentioned to comment on value, but hopefully someone else will chime in with some info for you. Good luck!

the best e-commerce source that I’ve found for small regional (custom) knife makers is Arizona Cudtom Knives https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/. You can lookup knives by maker for both for sale and sold knives. I took a peek for a few on your list but didn’t find anything.

When all else fails, I recommend using common sense about valuating any handmade knife examining factors like fit, finish, exotic materials, sheaths, paperwork etc. Lastly, no matter who made the knife, they need to speak to you even if you are just buying them for resale.
