This is my first Bear and Son but I do have a Bear MGC on the way

Good looking little knife. Looks sleek and slim.

Some of the recent posts have me wanting to try a Bear and Son knife.

Pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between Bear and Son and Bear MGC?

Good question but I don’t know and the main reason I bought the above knife was the price, $5. The MGC is similar to a Parker that I own so we’ll see on Monday.

Bear MGC. I believe the difference between the Bear and Son and the MGC is just a name change with the MGC the original name. This MGC exceeds all expectations. Not a single nitpick to mar the overall quality.

I’ve been carrying the Bear and Son lockback every day since it arrived a couple of months ago. At 3.75” closed it hits my sweet spot for everything I need from food and heavier work. The fit and finish is excellent and it isn’t even the scratch magnet that many of my all metal knives are. Two thumbs up from me

Beer-Tender Barlow (Light)

“Light” taphandle on the show side bolster
Pretty standard Barlow clip blade with “Beer-Tender” etch
Beer-Tender specific secondary blade with cap lifter and pointed end to facilitate puncturing a can in preparation for “shotgunning”

They are SMKW exclusives. The only one showing as in stock is a PB&J with a Mr. Peanut-like character hold two mugs on the bolster.

yes I think their colorful and decent built knives,I like the large toothpick myself but they rarely put them out anymore,though they still have 1 in their lineup
