Great shots GSP. Love the wide open spaces and the camp venue. The cuttin' tools are cools too. Looks like you're livin' large.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2026 8:39 pm![]()
Come on Sas, ...
you should know that I don't use a chainsaw... I am devoted to the Axe!!! I am, however, very bad at starting fires ... and that bottle sure helped out in that department...pour a liberal amount on the wood and just make sure that you stand back a good distance and toss the lit match with your head turned away to avoid any flash burns...

That is a nice photo, Ike. I like the colors.
Very appealing forest photos, Charlie. Spring is at its peak in my area. Lots of wild flowers.

Which knife would I like to die with in my pocket isn't the most palatable pre-roofwork thought, but I definitely thought itQTCut5 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 1:52 pmProving once again that context is everything. Zach, your description of the setting and circumstance actually gives life and depth to what might otherwise be a relatively mundane picture of an uninteresting knife and kept me looking at it longer than I surely would have without the backstory. Your dedication and willingness to risk life and limb to try and capture an interesting photo are commendableWell done

BTW FWIW--had you fallen off the roof and broken your neck in pursuit of the perfect shot, at least you can take a measure of comfort in knowing that your photo would have survived to tell the tale and serve as a lasting testament to your artistic commitment![]()
That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Re: Knife Photography
I have never actually risked my life for a knife photo, but several times I have had to stanch the bleeding after trying to get the blade to stay open at just the right angle.ThatWeirdKnifeGuy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:36 amWhich knife would I like to die with in my pocket isn't the most palatable pre-roofwork thought, but I definitely thought itQTCut5 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 1:52 pmsnipThatWeirdKnifeGuy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 12:53 pm This picture actually isn't the greatest...Not the prettiest knife either
