Help with M1918 trench knife

I have a chance to purchase this knife but I thought I’d consult the experts on here and get some advice . I included some photos . The gentleman says he bought it as new old stock , that it came in a bag that was filled full of grease . He says it was a model that was produced after the war , and that LF&C continued to make these knives after the war, which was part of their contract . I’m no expert , but does the sheath look right for that originality and not repro ? The stamped metal look correct ? The handle and blade itself look correct ? I’d appreciate any perspectives on this …. . Even if the story doesn’t match , does it look legit ? Or is this a repro? Thank you so much .

I've have found these two so far, LF&C and Au Lion.

This particular cartridge belt has eyelets that were designed for the scabbards like you have.

How well does the blade fit into the scabbard?

Thanks for the info fellas . I have not personal seen Or held the knife as it’s about 100 miles away from me. Have no idea how well it fits the sheath . All I’ve got is these pictures so far and this is the best damn group around to get opinions from . Thanks for the links I really appreciate it

The more I look at it, the more the length and shape of that blade worries me . . .

Thank you rider for the blade length and comments … I’m really torn about this knife …. The handle looks good to me , the color looks good to me …. The color of the blade looks good to me …. But the sheath is throwing me off , and something about the blade is throwing me off . The gentleman is selling two of these , one he clearly states is a repro cheap China made one for $50. This one he’s asking $200 for it . He doesn’t claim to know much about knives in general , and doesn’t seem to know much about the 1918 at all .

a huge red flag, if it’s genuine it’s probably worth 10X that amount, caveat emptor.

That certainly is lower than market for an OG but for $200 I'd take it and figure it out later honestly. It's still cool.
