How were they priced?
Hey Phil, they are priced the same as these at Shepherd Hills Cutlery averaging around $80. They probably aren't something I would buy to use, but being interesting, different, and a new pattern, they seem to be appealing to collectors on the secondary market and at knife shows for the time being. I will probably pick up one of each handle material and use the one's I don't want for trades at knife shows.

Hey Tom, from what I have seen, the F&F is typical for newer Case knives and probably a little better. A few have had small gaps, soft snap and blades off center in the blade well, but the snap can usually be worked out with a little oil in the joint.
I am fortunate to have a local dealer about a mile from me, so I can drop in every couple of days and choose from a few that he has in stock at the time.

Agree that it is an unusual pattern, and the butt end spring side where it protrudes out feels a bit awkward in hand, but it is a nice size. I tend to agree with what others have said, that it would be nice if it was a lockback.
Like you, I will probably never carry this pattern and I'm not a big fan of flipping on the secondary market, but the ones I decide to part with will be a nice addition to the knives I take to the shows for trading.
