remington #R219

can anyone tell me the year this knife was made. handle looks to be made of brass. blade marked remington on one side and R219 on other side.

Just click on the research box at the top of this page, then click Remingtons, then tang stamps. That'll get you about as close as possible on a manufacture date.

thanks for the info. i guess i should have looked there before posting lol.
tank stamp says it was made from 1924 - 1933. picked it up at a yard sale today for a buck. not bad for a buck i guess.

Not bad, not bad at all. If the knife were in perfect condtion and had never been sharpened it would bring around $300 or so.
