John Wayne's pocket knife??
Found this posting of John Wayne's pocket knife. I thought it was pretty cool. However. The stamping looks like 1980
John Wayne died in June 1979. Is it possible he got a knife with a stamping for the next year? It sounds unlikely. What do you think?

BS? But I bought the original Bowie knife at a gun show so only a skeptic would let a little detail like its being made after John died not believe it was John's Muskrat.
John moored a yacht that was a converted WW-II mine sweeper at the Seattle Yacht Club. If it's still floating it probably could be proven to have been John's boat. Any pocket knife would be a leap of faith.

The auction site says the item has been withdrawn.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Mind the old knife collector adage “Buy the knife, not the story”.

The Wild Goose, I've been on it, was a common sight in Newport Beach Harbor, I believe it's still there.Modern Slip Joints wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2026 12:53 am
