Recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it DEFINITELY did turn out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, "foreign born", pocket knife accumulation. It is a WOSTENHOLM I-XL, two blades, one tang stamp, 3" closed, one spring, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "I-XL (over) GEORGE (over) WOSTENHOLM (over) SHEFFIELD (over) ENGLAND" The main blade does have a WEAK half stop. The main blade does have an OK opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does have a WEAK half stop. The secondary blade does have an OK opening snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT require cleaning.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is. My pictures do NOT capture the TRUE BEAUTY of this pocket knife.

Pearl pocket knives are what I love the most. I could spend hours and hours admiring the workmanship.

So I wanted to share 2 pearl knives I got from my pearl collection and sulk a little bit  Just earlier today I was going to buy a Rodgers Cutlers congress in pearl with a very nice checkered jigging on ebay, but had some technical issues with the app and missed the opportunity to get it! I’m super bummed out about it to say the least lol. I try to not think about the losses though. i’m a big fan of sheffield congress knives and would love to have one in my collection. oh well can’t win everything.

first one is a J.S Holler & Co I got recently. And the second is a Abercrombie & Fitch from Czechoslovakia I acquired a few years ago. I try to find mint or near mint knives.

Those two certainly look mint. A beautiful pair of knives! Both have good MOP, but Holley seems especially fiery.

Regarding missing a buy because of technical issues: that has happened to me. Several years ago I changed our internet provider after missing being able to place a bid as an auction ended. The only other time I cussed that much was when I dropped a catfish on my bare foot.

I had one of those Abercrombie and fitch pearl handled knives. I gave it to my supervisor because he liked growing a mustache and was always combing it with a plastic comb.
Since the knife had a mustache comb, I figured he could manicure his stache up in old school style. Beautiful knife

That catfish incident gave me a good laugh

Yeah the J.S Holler does have some nice fiery pearl. It’s amazing how high polished pearl has a glass like look and feel, I cannot get enough of it.

Oh wow thats cool to hear theres more of these floating around. I wish to find out what cutlery company made these and a rough date.

I do remember seeing another one on ebay in very bad shape for $1,500 then $999. I noticed on that one it didn’t have the “A&F” etch on the main blade. But yeah the comb does make me want to grow out a mustache just to use it lol

Wanted to share 2 more knives, some super shiny Hen & Roosters. These have really nice walk and talk, especially the congress. though one of the pen blades is like a 8.5/10 on pull haha. Edit: I hope these are old enough to post here ::paranoid::

Happy to share them! Glad you guys like them :D

I would like to share more on my original account but I seem to have been locked out due to changing my old email to my new one for some reason lol. I sent an email to support so I’ll see if I can get back into it.

I was going through my MOP knives, and I came across this Allentown. I always liked this knife, even in the condition it is in. Does this have Wolfertz DNA?

Thought I'd jump in with this nice old Friedman & Lauterjung Electric pearl beauty. Found in small antique store. Love the nickel-silver band. I'm doing an article for Knife Magazine on pearl-handled knives; I think everyone will enjoy it and learn some things too

That’s a fine looking example. Love the mini band in the middle. Very classy. Interesting pattern to the pinning. I wonder why
