help with 2nd marine division Kabar
Hello, just picked up this Kabar second marine division commemorative fighting knife. Just cant find another one like it or even a pic anywhere. This knife is beautiful and beautifully made. Got this on the cheap cause seller assumed it was some kind of copy but there is no way this thing is some chinese copy of any kind. i e-mailed Kabar and waiting for a response from them. Has anyone ever seen one or can give any info on it? Had this sheath with it which seems to be handmade. think that is what made it seem like a copy. check it out and thanks for anything, RED

A while back (2016-2018??), there were a bunch of handle-less blades available on fleabay. This is probably one of those that has had a handle assembled on it.

Blued, and I like the Pacific Theater "etch?".

That sheath is very crudely made, stitching very irregular.

The handle sure seems shop made or from a very talented knifesmith? Also is odd that the etching on almost all i have seen is on the opposite side? As far as the sheath goes, i think the shop i got this from just pair it up with the knife cause it fit, seeing its not really made to be holstered anyway, but just displayed. its far from what im interested in but its deserves a glass case. Definitely more of a display knife. I would be cautious about the sheath rubbing the graphics.buckkiller58 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2026 1:46 pm The handle sure seems shop made or from a very talented knifesmith?
