Some knife companies like buck and marbles have large knives, but they didn’t call them Bowies why?

This is the biggest one I have by Winchester, but the answer to the question will most likely come with all kinds of requirements to be called a Bowie knife.

Here is a link to a post that has some info regarding the definition of “Bowie Knife”. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... ie#p501498
The term has been bastardized and over-used to the extent it no longer has any definitive meaning aside from a “large” knife. The keyword search feature here on AAPK will find hundreds of posts and pictures of “Bowie” knives. (“Search” can be found under Quicklinks on the upper left of this thread - the little three-line “hamburger” icon for those using a mobile phone browser). https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... =titleonly
