Waltcraft

Post by Dinadan »

Here is something a bit unusual. I recently bought this little Waltcraft knife off Ebay. I expected it to be a Whittler, but it is not. The handle looks like it is some kind of imitation ivory, probably celluloid. I have found just about no information about Waltcraft.

Anyone have any info about Waltcraft, or other examples of their knives?

The scissors definitely look Japanese, but the rest of the knife could pass for Sheffield or German make.

Nice one, and interesting!

Wonder if WALTCO. USA, makers of the Safe-T-Sheath butterfly knives had anything to do with a Japanese affiliation?? Nowadays they make lift gates and truck doors and there is a Waltco shipping corporation. Just sold my last red-handled fish-knife Saturday for $7 aT fishing flea market. Kinda sorry to see it go. Like any general info if anyone has any. Thanks. J.O'.
