W.M. Greaves and sons info please

Post by BKWhite32 »

I picked up this Greaves and sons razor at my local flea market and thought I may get a little more info on it. The online research said that the Sheffield Sheaf Works was in business from 1823 to 1850 and f the blade has Sheaf Works on it that it was from that time period.

The blade across the top does not look like any of the W.M. Greaves and sons blades on the other pics that I found online. Was this blade purposely made this way by the owner or did they actually make the blade this way across the top at the factory. Have a great day everyone

Interesting razor. I have no idea why it’s “bent” along the spine like that. ::shrug::

It is an even grind on each side of the spine almost like finger grooves
