Sorry to learn about your losses, Mark and Dave. We were out of the country after Christmas so somehow I missed seeing the posts at the time- just now saw them. Our pets are family members, and we grieve when we lose one. I’ve been in your shoes too many times. Belated but sincere condolences.

Our little Lillie was a very hard one to let go. I laid with her her last night on our bed and cuddled her before we took her to the vet to let her go the next morning. Our cat, Banjo was lingering on our bed for hours before he passed. He even reached out one paw to me. It was incredibly heartbreaking. My condolences and deepest sympathy.
Just read this Missouri, how touching that is that the cat would respond that way. Animals know more and feel way more than we think they do. Sorry you had to go through that. Bless you for loving that dog so much.
Thanks, Sharp. I appreciate that.

That’s exactly what my dad always called them. We had a full blood boxer before this dog, loved her but they don’t live very long. This dog is 10 & still plays like a puppy.

Hello all.

My condolences Mark and Dave. We all know how hard the loss is.

Been on long hiatus from the forum. Only so many minutes in a day.
Glad to be back and will try to be a part of this great forum. Only one I am a member of.
Hope all of you are well.

Went through pages of past posts. Too many to comment on individually. Can't go wrong with a furry friend. A different and actually more reliable friends than most humans, few close friends are the exception.

Elsa is 6 yo in September. Mainly, Pyrenees it seems with curled tail. Told 3 other flavors of sheepdog in there. Beautiful girl, 85 pounds. Sweet disposition and never a zommie in the house. Patient in the morning to go out as I do my morning work routine. Never even tore anything up as a pup. Still, a dog to the core. Alert protector/ guard dog with a swivel head.

Bear will be 4 in April. Got big. Great Bernard or Saint Pyrenees. Saint Bernard/ Great Pyrenees mix. A year ago at Vet, 160 pounds. Likely 170 is my guess now. Solid muscle, perfect weight to shape/ height according to vet. Double coat, very hairy. Tried everything to rake out his tail. Resigned to fact he may be a fan of some dreadlocks. Rocking the dreads. Grooming come spring.

Elsa is Alpha. Best friends. Not sure if he is lover or brother. Frowned upon to be both. LOL.

The hind leg belly up to the bar pics of Bear still crack me up. Rockstar in town.

Likely some previous posted pics added among the new ones.

Jerry

Mr Bear and his favorite toy. The kiddie pool. Odd aren't we all.
He will bash it with his version of the medieval mace, his gigantic tennis ball on a rope. Hit me with it once. If he picks it up and is staring at me, I gently remind, not happening.
Smashed and destroyed now but he loves it.

Hilarious!

So proud to have these Friends.
I think they think the same of me. I hope so at least.
Appreciate you all putting up with my sharing. These dogs are my life.

A few retro pics. Maybe even posted prior.

Bear at the bar with a beginner gambling issue. In awe every interaction with him. They call them a giant breed for a reason. Picture ain't worth a thosand words. People stop and stare on walks. Big!
Sweet Elsa. Most patient dog to date. Low maintenance. Shower with love, respect and discipline, reciprocity abound. Her tail cracks me up. Quite the Gothic look. White with black eyeliner, lips, nose. Beauty.
Each has such unique features, like we all do. Beautiful and funny at the same time.
Sweet souls the both of them.

Blessed!

Jerry

Jerry, frankly I love your dogs. Elsa is all sweet and feminine. Bear remains other worldly, meaning spectacular like Saturn, or maybe a meteor. His Leonine head is just awesome.
