Remington knives with an etch

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Here’s a hard one to find in decent condition .
Remington Official Boy Scout 1927 model , decent etch , extra long screw driver and full blades .
I’m sure this one would clean up real good but they are only original once .

Thanks for looking
Mike

This is the only Remington UMC I have and I didn't see another one here like it. I hope it's not too new or in the wrong category, but it's a Remington (R4?) with an etch, so here it is...

Nice Camillus made Remington R-4. ::tu:: Those were also made with a serrated edge sheep's foot. I like their combination of tools better than the 4 blade or tool camp utility knives nearlly all boys carried in elementary school. Since I like having a bottle opener in my pocket during the hot months I often carry a Camillus/Rem. camp knife.

Nice big scout knife. Did you clean up around the etch?

I haven’t cleaned any of my Remingtons other than a wipe down and Ren Wax. Maybe some #9 and q tip/toothpick cleaning of the wells.

What did you notice @stockman?

Notice it is very nice. I have one that has a nice etch I would like to clean up some, but don’t want to mess it up.

Stockman have you asked in the questions and answers thread how can I safely clean the etchings on my old Remington knives. I’m sure someone will be able to help with that.

You're showing some sweet ones, gents. ::groove::
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

You're going to look awfully silly with that knife sticking out of your @#$. -Clint Eastwood, High Plains Drifter
