Haven't been on here for a few years, but recently received a few knives my dad had in his possession before he passed. My niece sent them to me because apparently nobody else in the family care about them. Anyway, I thought I would show off a couple of interesting items. First, An "Old Cutler" "RAP Cutler" stag stockman. My dad used to work at Yellowstone park during the summers back in the mid/late 90s and bought this at the General store near where he worked. I've only seen a few of these RAP stockmen, but never one with a special etched blade such as this. Any thoughts?

That's a really neat set with the COA and receipt and box and great knife. I like it !

Thanks! I’m kinda torn on whether to keep it pristine and packed away in a drawer, or start carrying it once in while, because I really like the solid feel and the quality of it. I’m not really bothered if it shows a little use, because I’m never gonna sell it. But on the other hand, it’s only like new once, and there certainly aren’t many of these around.

Welcome back GlennH. Old Cutlers are a very under appreciated line of knives. Quality made with quality steel. Congrats on getting it. And it being one of your dad's knives makes it even better.

Finally got the whole fam damly together for a photo op. Mom and Dad Coyote with the twins. . . Uncle and Auntie Frontier with their 6 little ones. . . one is adopted but don't tell, and the two crazy uncles all went to see Grandpa who's been in the pen since the 80's!

My first Colonial knife. Just got it from ebay. In the process of researching for this knife, I just found out that the Ranger is made by Colonial.

A few days ago, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a COLONIAL, two blades, two tang stamps, 3 1/8” closed, a long main blade pull, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "COLONIAL (over) PROV. R.I." The secondary blade front tang stamp says, “U.S.A.” If this pocket knife had advertising scales or handle inserts, it doesn’t now. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does NOT have an opening snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it did turn out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a COLONIAL, one blade, one tang stamp, 4” closed, a long main blade pull, liner lock, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "COLONIAL (over) PROV. U.S.A.” The main handle side says, “NRA (logo) Millennium Member - Endowment” The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a GOOD closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT require any cleaning.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a U.S.A., two blades, one main blade tang stamp, 3 1/2" closed, a “long” main blade pull, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "U.S.A." The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have an OK closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives just to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it did turn out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a COLONIAL, one blade, one tang stamp, 2 1/2" closed (not including the bail), "baseball bat", pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "COLONIAL (over) PROV. U.S.A." If there was ANY text on either or both handles, it is NOT there now. There are a few, minor, cosmetic issues. The main blade does have an OK half stop. The main blade does have an OK opening snap. The main blade does have an OK closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
