Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

112 slim Heritage Elite modification

Post by genewiseman »

I really like the new slim 112 but couldn't justify spending the money. I had a couple of standard 112's already so I decided to make my own. Mine just has the plain old 420 HC blade instead of magnacut but I kind of like a blade that's easy to sharpen anyway. I just got the pocket clip on it this morning but I really like it so far.
Thanks for looking!

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

There is nothing wrong with 420 HC with the BOS treatment. There is a reason it has been a Buck mainstay for years.

Nice job on putting that knife on a diet. It looks great!
