Schrade Walden fish knife with gaff blade
I recently purchased a fish knife collection from an online auction house in upstate New York. This is one of the knives in the collection. Upon trying to find some info. on this knife I came across a posting on the Blade Forums site from 2010 from a man whom seem to be very knowledgeable about Schrade Walden fish knives. He described this knife perfectly and stated that some collectors questioned if this knife even exist. And he had in 50 years only saw 2 examples both without a blade tang stamp and only heard of 1 more that was stamped. So I was curious to see if you guys here at AAPK could provide any further information to the rarity of this knife. Thanks so much. Dodgin3

That is a gorgeous Fish Knife.
Dad had a couple of beautiful ones. Nothing with a gaff on it.
That being said I wouldn’t want to gaff any fish with teeth with that one. As RR said definitely like to learn more.

KA-BAR and Western also made the fish knives with the gaff. Eric should be along to tell you the relative rarity of yours but I have seen a couple of others. Just wondering if it was Roberson's auction?
