This Lone Wolf Paul Perfecto is the one that started it all for me with its super pointy, needle-like Wharncliffe blade.
Ivoryman elephant ivory mod handle scales.
From the archives: Another Ivoryman mod, but on this GEC American Jack he modified the spear blade to a Wharncliffe

Kevin - very nice group. I kind of like those humpbacks. I do not have any in my collection but maybe that will change.
Scott - very good photo of that Kershaw. It looks like a tough knife.
Bucksharp - Great Northfield!
Q - Two beautiful knives.
Here is my little Seahorse family.

Some nice ones posted. Enjoy browsing the forums every day. After retirement I find myself on here more. Recently got a collection that had several Wharncliffe blades , been listing them on the bay, gives me something to do now.

Great Mods, Q! That American Jack looks perfect with the Wharncliffe.
I knew I-Man did rehandles but didn't realize his talents included blade mods as well.

Yes, Ivoryman actually did quite a few Wharncliffe blade mods for me. Here are a few more from the archives of mods he did for me on some canoes, a common traditional pattern that you almost never see with a Wharncliffe blade. We dubbed this creation a "Wharnoe"
At one time I actually did own a factory Wharnoe that was made by Queen DFC under the Schatt & Morgan trademark. This is the only factory made Wharnoe I have ever come across and I suspect it may have been one of the knives cobbled together with leftover parts just prior to Queen closing down for good.

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Very cool Wharnoes, Q! I've never seen that Queen/Schatt Canoe either, but they did do a lot unique designs during the DFC period, so it wouldn't surprise me if they tried the ol' I-Man/QTCut patented Wharnoe pattern.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 1:10 amMahalo, Kevinknifeaddict1965 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 12:50 am That American Jack looks perfect with the Wharncliffe.![]()

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
By request, I was asked to post this knife here. This is a Buck, Idaho Falls, canoe/moose with mastodon ivory handles. I have a debate in my head as to whether it is a moonoe or a canoose but now it seems that it could also be called a wharnoe. Should I start a poll?

That beautiful Canoose Wharnoe is the rarest subspecies in the Canoe family. Possibly extinct, but if any do still exist in the wild, they are extremely scarce and highly elusive creatures
Mahalo for posting it here with it's Wharncliffe cousins, Squach

And all those Case/Bose Collaboration knives at the end of the previous page that kicked off this week's WW are some serious knife porn eye candy.....hard to stop looking at them
(Anyone who only looked at this page missed seeing an awesome group of gorgeous knives

)
Looks like we had a good WW turnout this week. Great to see a few new posters on the thread.

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Better post the obligatory ubiquitous Case 07W
My newest addition: 1st Run Tequila Sunrise Mini Trapper. I know a lot of folks poo-poo "1st Run" markings as a marketing gimmick, and they may well be right. I wouldn't necessarily buy a knife just because it was marked "1st Run", nor would I pay extra for a 1st Run knife. However, If a knife I want happens to be so marked, I must admit, I really don't mind as long as it's nicely engraved (not merely etched or printed) on the blade or bolster, in fact, I actually kind of like it
Here are some more Wharnies from my archives that fall on the red, orange, yellow end of the color spectrum
