Neck knife and sheath
I forged this from a old hay rake tine and decided to make it a neck knife. Maybe got carried away on the sheath, inlay on top, double loop lacing and 4 strand round braid for the neck strap.
Figured you guys and gals might like a look maybe this will wake up the leather humans here haha.

I particularly like the lace work on the sheath. It really adds the extra touch.

Maybe like a lot of things, not done so much anymore because it is time consuming and people are not willing to pay the extra.Rossr wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 2:31 pmThank you sir. Most excellent!
What hay rake tines are you using, if you don't mind me asking?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I have some.dump rake tines laying about. Which is the 2nd picture. Ive read they are made of high carbon steel and possibly 1095. They are fun to mess with if u have access to them. Thanks too!1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 4:56 pm Most excellent! What hay rake tines are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

I never messed with the newer ones and also not sure what steel used on them. Course if we want to be technical i dont know what steel the old ones are. I just know they cut and survive the brass rod test and function from basic tests.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sun Feb 15, 2026 10:46 pmThanks!
