just purchased these unusual stamp. It's Hero Cutlery of Philadelphia. Goins shows a German company but no ties to Philadelphia. Could be an import but I found a mention of a manufacturer in Phili with that name. Hummm. Any help?

I agree that it has an American look. Couldn't find any info but it sure does ring my bells.
