Anyone know about this Buck knife?

Buck did a run of 529 models that they called the Buckskin Series. Each knife in the series had handles made of various types of animal skin.

The date code on your knife most closely resembles the 2008 date code but that throws me off a bit as I thought the Buckskins were about 20 years older than that.

This is a 'Buck Skins' model 529. The handle material is an overlay of genuine alligator skin. The date code indicates the knife was made in 1988.
