Hey TOPDOG, this is some information I found on the 1836 pattern Bowie with this stamp.
If there are stars on the back of the guard it was made 1973-80, if not 1965-73.

I was doing some research on Bowie knives in general, and I found an example of one from the 1800's with stars engraved on the end points of the quillons, so there might have been a larger connection of Bowies having stars on the guard. I have a Bowie with no maker's mark (I believe it is US made) with stars on the back of the guard. I will have to do some more research to see where the stars come from. I don't see it mention on the Bowies made by Rezin Bowie.

I’m a little late to this post, and I’m of absolutely no further help. But, had to say “Dang that’s beautiful.”

Case introduced that version of their older WWII era "Bowie" style knife for the civilian market in about 1963-64. As far as I know, it was made exactly that way and with those markings until 1979. Then in 1980 it continued but with the new "lightning S" 10 dot stamp.
