Wow, some great photos have been posted!

Didn't feel so good for a few days but back out for walks and takin' pics. From our walk today.

Sorry to read that you have not been feeling well.

Very nice photos of that Queen, Charlie. The snow laced moss and rock make a good background. No snow in my garden, lots of frost. But instead of going out and getting some photos in the frost I have been sipping hot coffee by the fire.

I am wondering if that is Spanish Moss in photos one through three?

Indeed it is, Mel A neighbor gave us a small piece from her garden a few years ago and we hung it in our mango tree. It seems to really like the humid climate here and grows prolifically. We now have enough to give starter pieces to other neighbors.

When I was a kid we called that stuff "spooky moss". Those old B&W horror movies with the full moon, fog, and Spanish moss in a dead quiet forest are still spooky even compared to the special effects of today. When you see that scene you just know there's something out there, lurking.

No knife in this photo, but I had to post it anyway Can't decide if I captured Sasquach kindly feeding his feathered friends in the woods or if he's disguising himself as a tree in order to lure birds in to feed upon

Well, that winter storm activity has arrived! We have about four inches on the ground so far and it's still coming down. It's supposed to change to freezing rain later today. The forecasters are using words like CATASTROPHIC but it's just winter, no big deal.

There’s no makers mark on this knife and I don’t know why because if I was able to produce this quality I’d want it known.

Looking good there, Fingers Clearly, the lack of a maker’s mark does not indicate a lack of quality. That Silver Falcon is a slick motor scooter!

I'm pretty much iced in where walks are concerned. If it hasn't been shoveled it's a 3 to 4 inch layer of solid ice on top of 6 to 10 inches of grainy snow. You could ice skate on it! Temps have been in the teens at night and low 20s during the day so it ain't gonna' melt any time soon. The streets and most sidewalks have been cleared and I'm getting too old to break trail so if we go out we just go around the block and then come in and thaw out.
