I have a large collection of late bullet knives. Essentially almost all of them from 1982 to 20026. However I have never found a comprehensive list of all of them. My question is from around 1997 and onward there were Damascus knives made as well but I’m not sure if they made them every year up until 2017 or not. Sometimes some years had more than one handle material or sometimes the bolsters were engraved on some and not others.
Does anyone know if they made Damascus blade bullet knives in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2011, or 2012
Also did they make a silver bullet non Damascus edition in 2001?
If anyone has any of these knives I’d love to know and possibly see a picture for reference. I have scoured the internet but have found nothing on knives from these years.

Can you help me identify/confirm a handful of knives in your collection? I think there are about 15 that I'm unsure about from your initial photos. I have circled them in red. Is this a special edition of the 89 knife?

Only candy stripe Ive found is the 88 with the round shield, is this a 91? also I'm assuming these 2 muskrats are different?

Cant find the gold bolster knife online, and the second one circled im guessing is damascus? havent found that one anywhere else yet.

When I get home in a month I can go over them. The candy stripe 1992 knife is the only one I have ever seen. I did not get a box with it. Not sure if it was a Smokey mountain knife kind of like the candy stripe toothpick from 88.
Some of the ones you have circled I know are Damascus knives and one is a 60th anniversary Ellet bros knife.
The 2012 old faithful knives you have circled are as follows. 1st knife is a Remington sales meeting knife. The second knife is a factory screw up. It had green scale on non bullet side. The bullet shield side has a dark brown scale. Not a special edition but a special screw up lol.
I have been able to look at my pictures and figured out what you are looking at. In case one it is a 1989 knife but a special issue in 1990 by the Shenandoah
I already discussed case 2 so I will skip to case three. They are both special edition 1 of 500 knives in a black pearl handles. One is engraved and one isn’t.
Case 4 as I previously stated the 2012 are as follows the first one is a Remington Sales Meeting knife. The second one is a factory defect that made it through inspection. Low that is as follows: 2013 is a shot show knife. Next knife in question is a 2014 shot show knife and finally is a 2014 Damascus knife. Here is the 2012 defect knife.

I just realized I missed asking you about one knife. In case 12 do you have 2 Prospectors or is the second one different?

Great to see the interest in Remington Bullet knives. I'm sure it was lot of work identifying the 201 (and counting) variations. I am an ardent collector of the original Bullets. Below is a full set of all the patterns made with the Bullet shield. Some collectors include the R3843 camp utility knife as a bullet pattern. The R3843 was never made with a bullet shield. The R1613 is predominantly found with the round shield, but there were also some made with the bullet shield.

Beautiful collection! I have 5 left to complete my collection of early knives. I need the R293 HTT, R4466, R1273, R1613 with the bullet, and the candy striped R1613 with round shield.

I wish you good fortune in finding your remaining pieces. The R1615 candy stripe will be quite a challenge - I have only seen 1 of these. Of the others in your remaining the list the R1273 bedeviled me the most. . My R1128 has a very faint etch and I would like to find a better one.
Found this pre 1982 bullet knife made for Bowen by Camilus. Its a 1976 R1123 reproduction that preceded the 1982 run of bullet knives. This one is #311 of 500 made based on my research

Not a Bullet knife but does anyone have any info on this one? When were these made, by who, how many, etc? Only time I've seen this shield used was on the vintage series trapper collection knives (believe there were 4 of them) those were China made. This is stamped USA and numbered 017.
I will check. I may have one of those. I have a few of the musket and powder horn knives but not in my display cases. I have acquired a hand full of new Remington Bullet knives I did not have in my display cases since I last posted. I will snap photos next week and post them.

Thanks! I still have a ways to go but getting closer. I’m down to 5 originals I’m looking for. Not sure how many modern versions are still out there but I’m closing the gap on finding them all lol.

Saw a new one on my facebook. I don’t think this is a Remington design but rather something someone made based on finish of fork as well as mounts that join the two halves of the hobo knife. Still none the less really cool.

Concur with your assessment as the R1273 is the Trail Boss pattern knife
