My LAST two knives.....

Post by knife7knut »

Swapped some re-lettering on a small sign for these barehead jacks. One unmarked & the other I.WILSON GREEN RIVER. Sorry for the lousy pics; taken on a sheet of paper at the hospital.
I have decided to cease accumulating knives. My wife 's medical condition has rapidly deteriorated and l must concentrate on her final time on this earth. A good friend will be selling off my knives and has possibly found someone who will purchase the entire lot.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife’s condition Ray. That's not an easy road to travel. I will put her on my prayer list. It won't be the same here without you, Ray, your presence here will certainly be missed!
I approve of your last two knives, they look good! Drop in and say “Hi” when you can.
God bless you, my friend!

Sorry for what you & your wife are going through. Also, sorry you feel like you have to sell off your knives. I will be praying for your wife, you and your family. On a lesser note, your last two knives are beauties. May Our Heavenly Father be with you both.

Very sorry to hear, Ray. I do appreciate you telling us.....nothing worse than a long-time, highly respected member suddenly going radio silent without warning or explanation. I am glad you have someone to help sell your epic, museum-grade, historical knife collection. Although it will simplify things for you if it can be sold as a lot, man, what I wouldn't give to have the opportunity to browse through your basement for a day or two and buy some of the knives you have shown here on AAPK over the years. Sending positive thoughts your way with wishes for peace and comfort in your time of difficulty ::pray::

Hope your Legendary collection finds a good home, and you will still be able to check in from time to time. Your contributions and great variety of cutlery have truly been appreciated by me and many others over the years, and your new Stag Barehead Jacks are two beautiful additions. ::tu::

Having been sucked into the black hole of health care myself, I can appreciate what you're doing and admire your dedication to your wife. You have your priorities in the right mode and will feel better in the long run. I love knives but wouldn't trade anything for my lovely devoted wife. Good luck to you my friend
