Unusual Use for a Swedish Barrel Knife

Here is a cane whose handle is made from a barrel knife. I've seen knives in canes before for self-defense, but a barrel knife is hardly a "quick draw" option. I guess it's for the gentleman sitting on the park bench peeling his apple. If you can't resist, it's part of the auction of a person's lifetime collection of canes.
