Japanese PIC Throwing Knives
My father left me a set of three PIC throwing knives in a leather sheath, photos attached below. Two of the knives are marked, "PIC #113C JAPAN" and the other is marked, "PIC STAINLESS #10113 JAPAN". The blade of each has a tang covered with leather handles. I have found a company called Precision International Company that made what seem to be similar blades from 1954 onwards and later integrated with Solingen. Did this company exist in Japan before then? Also, similar photos show a single rather than three together in one sheath. If you know anymore about these knives historically or otherwise and how to best clean them, I would greatly appreciate any information. Thank you.

Re: Japanese PIC Throwing Knives
PIC wasn't a Japanese company, they were a US importer located in Suffern, New York. They imported and sold knives from Japan, and other countries.
People often debate what exactly PIC stands for, but PIC actually used two different names, Precise International Corp, and Precise Import Corp. If you check the two advertisements below, both companies have the same address.

Here's a 9-3/4" PIC #10102. The slabs are hard rubber. The blade is somewhat "saber-ground". Odd for a thrower ? J.O'.
