just won these two knives for $4.25 and $2.00 shipping. One is a Filipino knife the other is made in the USA but has no brand stamped. Ever since I've been a little kid I've wanted at least one Filipino knife (other than the Balisongs I have). Hopefully I got lucky on this one, it not at least I didn't lose too much.Considering the limited materials they have to work with some of the Filipino knives have really good cutting ability.
These Balisongs are all handmade from the Philippines. Excellent cutting ability.

Re: low priced win
When I was in the Navy back in the early 70's. The "PI" was a regular stop between missions. Subic Bay and its neighboring city of Olangapo catered to the USN. You could buy a handmade "butterfly" knife for a buck. The guys selling them always told you how much trouble they went to make the knives really strong and sharp.
I don't remember how many of those PI super knives I cut the edge off of with my old Buck 110. Id put 'em edge to edge and pull. The Buck never lost a battle against those things. I did piss off more than one sailor with that trick.
The guys selling the knives wouldn't go for that test.
There were a lot of good ones out there, but not for a buck.
