I came across a 1940-1964 Case stockman 3 blade. It's stamped on the tang 6344 SI. I can't find much about it. Any info out there?

Hope you find what you’re looking for. If you can post pictures of the knife and the stamps it might help, but I suspect the stamp is likely 6344 SH or 6344 SP (last letter being worn or lightly struck - there is no “SI”). 6344 is the basic pattern number. They made several versions having different secondary blade combinations, which are denoted by the letters following the pattern number. An explanation of Case pattern numbers can be found in the Research section.

6=bone handles
3=3 blades
44=pattern 44 stockman (3 1/4 inch)
If it has SH, that means it contains a sheepfoot profile blade for the 3rd blade
If it has SP, that means it contains a spey profile blade for the 3rd blade

Those are the most common, but there were a lot of other variations of blade configurations. Welcome to AAPK by the way.
