In keeping with Kevin and John's two Case knife Christmas theme, my submission for this Christmas Eve WW (week #24 on the 24th!) is this pair of Crimson & Kentucky Bluegrass 6107W Mini Trappers (Oh no! not more 07Ws---they're like houseguests who refuse to leave this thread )

Hey Tony - would you be so kind as to tell me the name of that RR pattern ? I looked all over eBay and found TONS of wharncliffe knives RR makes that I was unaware of - some really innovative patterns (they made this huge "rhino" wharncliffe that is a take on an elephant toe that looks neat) ... couldn't find yours though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/335769740760?_ ... John, this RRR is called a Hedgehog if I remember correctly. SMKW or eBay would be the best places to find it. I am not sure and will check with my supplier, but the pattern may be discontinued. Get back to you soon.

Thanks Tony for the intel on that pattern ... was shocked to see that the RR "Reserve" line uses D2 tool steel in some their blades now ... I hate to use the term legitimize, but if it's real D2, the new RR's have stepped it up .

And a very fine self-gift it is, too, Mel Although, I will point out that what you have there is actually a Tiny Trapper pattern #154 which is smaller than a Mini Trapper pattern #07 and the smallest of Case's Trapper patterns. I'm not sure of the exact length of a Case 154 Tiny Trapper, but I expect size-wise it will fit in perfectly with your extensive Peanut collection

I am going to change things up a bit with an old Craftsman. It started its existence with two clip blades, but both were tipped when I got hold of it. So now it is a Sheepsfoot and a Wharncliffe.

Our New Years Eve celebrating has calmed significantly the past few years as well. We get together with friends at one of our houses and are usually home and ready for bed well before the ball drops.

Kevin and Q, nice knives in your second postings. Those knives were a beautiful way to end the year 2025. It seems like it was a bit slow this week, maybe because of New Year's Eve.
