Nice RRR, Tony....and fabulous photo as well. Although excellent photography is par for the course for you, your professional, magazine-worthy photos add a touch of class to the forum and set a high standard for the rest of us to aspire to. Many
A spectacular pair of Tony Bose Collaboration Abalones followed by a festive pair of Christmas colored Lansky1 Ratcliffe mods....wow, you guys sure know how to set the Christmas Eve tone and supercharge the holiday spirit
In keeping with Kevin and John's two Case knife Christmas theme, my submission for this Christmas Eve WW (week #24 on the 24th!) is this pair of Crimson & Kentucky Bluegrass 6107W Mini Trappers (Oh no! not more 07Ws---they're like houseguests who refuse to leave this thread

Hey Tony - would you be so kind as to tell me the name of that RR pattern ? I looked all over eBay and found TONS of wharncliffe knives RR makes that I was unaware of - some really innovative patterns (they made this huge "rhino" wharncliffe that is a take on an elephant toe that looks neat) ... couldn't find yours though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/335769740760?_ ... As usual, nice 07w's Q - dig the crimson one especially

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
John, this RRR is called a Hedgehog if I remember correctly. SMKW or eBay would be the best places to find it. I am not sure and will check with my supplier, but the pattern may be discontinued. Get back to you soon.Lansky1 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 2:28 pmHey Tony - would you be so kind as to tell me the name of that RR pattern ? Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Thanks 'Q' ... the photo is an old one from my store listings. Sadly, I think these Hedgehogs are now discontinued. They are a really good knife ... still using the one I got from you.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:54 pm Nice RRR, Tony....and fabulous photo as well. Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Thanks Tony for the intel on that pattern ... was shocked to see that the RR "Reserve" line uses D2 tool steel in some their blades now ... I hate to use the term legitimize, but if it's real D2, the new RR's have stepped it up .Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 2:40 pmJohn, this RRR is called a Hedgehog if I remember correctly. Nice pair of Abalone knives, Kevin. Real beauties!
Very Christmas Case knives, Lansky!
Corn Creek, that is a tough looking Rough Rider.
Q, that is a fine pair of Mini Trappers.
My submission this week is also a Case Mini Trapper, my very first of that pattern. Brand new, A Christmas present from me to me.

Great Ratcliffes, John!
Cool Hedgehog, Tony!
We can never see too many of your beautiful Mini-Ts, Q, and these are another great pair.
Great little Tiny Trapper, Mel!
After seeing all the Christmas colors posted, my OCD wouldn't allow me to not post some reds & greens as well.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Thank you, Q. As you probably figured out, I am not too knowledgeable about Case patterns.
Those are four nice Case knives, Kevin.
Tom, that GEC is perfect.

That's a mighty impressive pile-o-seahorses ya got there, Kevin. That Green Stag definitely is not one that's seen very often....pretty rare indeed

This 2016 Case Blue Sparkle Kirinite Swayback Gent seems like an appropriate New Year's Eve Wharnie to ring in the new year
HAPPY NEW YEAR
May all your wildest Wharncliffe wishes be fulfilled in 2026

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Kevin, those are eleven(!) beautiful Seahorse knives.
Q - that Sparkle Swayback is a fine selection for New Year's Eve.
I am going to change things up a bit with an old Craftsman. It started its existence with two clip blades, but both were tipped when I got hold of it. So now it is a Sheepsfoot and a Wharncliffe.

Great Wharnies, fellas!
Appreciate your replies Q & Mel.
I really like the Green Stag Seahorse, Q, but wish the Stag had more of a greenish tint like a few others I have seen from this series.
Getting ready to head out for New Years Eve festivities, so I figured I would post another shot of a couple of Easy Open Stag Wharncliffe Copperheads on my way out.
Happy New Year Everyone!

I don't go out to celebrate on New Year's Eve anymore, so I'm letting my trio of Case 117 Swaybacks do the dancing for me.....

Great shot of those beautiful Swaybacks dancing the night away. That Ivory Mod and Deep Canyon Chestnut are Fantastic!
Our New Years Eve celebrating has calmed significantly the past few years as well. We get together with friends at one of our houses and are usually home and ready for bed well before the ball drops.

Re: It's Wharncliffe Wednesday!
Very good knives for a Wednesday, Chickenman.
Kevin and Q, nice knives in your second postings. Those knives were a beautiful way to end the year 2025. It seems like it was a bit slow this week, maybe because of New Year's Eve.
If I count correctly, this week we had:
Case__________17
Bulldog________1
Schrade________1
Winchester_____1
This is week 25, and we have not skipped a week. I think that is a pretty good indication of the popularity of Wharncliffes with some of us.
