The Hugo Köller, Stahlwarenfabrik, was founded in 1861 in Solingen and was a manufacturer of cutlery and edged weapons. During the Nazi era, the company produced early SA service daggers in the period before 1935. It did not receive an RZM code, limiting production to the early phase of NSDAP equipment. The location in Solingen underscores the region's tradition as a center for blade production in Germany.

I inherited a Hugo Koller knife - first thing I did was to open the main blade and now can't work out how to close it? Any tips on how to activate the unlock mechanism? There are no obvious buttons or levers and opening the corkscrew hasn't helped

Sometimes, you have to push down on the closed secondary blade to release the main blade for closing.
