The Northwoods Knife brand name originated in Gladstone, Michigan when a man named Dave Shirley adopted it as his knife company's name in 2004. Dave was well known for collaborating with popular knife companies to have knives made to his specifications for resale well before 2004 & beyond. KnivesShipFree bought Northwoods from Dave & has continued to team up with respected makers to produce knives marked with the Northwoods brand name.

Awesome looking group! What's the closed length on this pattern? Thanks.
Hey RR,
Thank you and the Fremont closed length is 3 1/2”.
I’m a long time collector in search of rare and limited GEC AND Northwoods knives. Always looking to add ivory pieces to my collection. PM to discuss sales or trades, please!
Had the mammoths out for some maintenance and took a few shots. I think this was the best of them.

Any able to snag one of these yesterday? Surprised they did a second run this summer, especially since it has only been a few weeks since the last drop. The stabilized coral is pretty cool and looks like this run is the only time they will ever run that one.
I got one, but through the resale channels. Those people have obviously figured out the 'trick' to snagging them. I really wanted a certain handle so I bit the bullet and got it.
My 2 remaining Northwoods (Fremont in Mammoth and Ocoee Jack in Giraffe). Decided to pair down on stuff this summer and gifted a Harrison Bay and Madison Barlow to good friends. The Fremont is my EDC. The Ocoee was my EDC until I got the Fremont. Always wanted a Mammoth handle. Finally got one. Paid for it. No regrets. NW knives are fun to acquire even though I've failed to land a drop since 2019 (the Ocoee Jack). I'm pretty stumped as to how folks get multiple ones of the same pattern during the same drop, but I guess it's a business and I fault no-one.
Should add...whenever I can gift a knife, it's a Northwoods. Might as well give them the best traditional folder.

It's a hyper-competitive business.
