Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Not a bone handle but did pick up this short line 72 from our own Philco. It may find a place in my pocket.

D.L. ::skeptic:: .... I don't know how I missed this post ::shrug:: ... but you got a sweet little #72 there ::nod:: ... ::hmm:: I hope it has seen some EDC time since you got it.

::paranoid:: Looks this thread has become a sub thread: "Short-Line #72s" ... I have few in my stash, but I always seem to find Short-line #1s ::shrug:: I must have about a dozen and I have no idea why I keep finding so many of them... ::shrug:: Just like almost all my "No-Lines" are #99s and my 6 or so #23s are almost all "Orr Felt Co." marked .... ::shrug:: ... ::skeptic:: Might just be "a glitch in the Matrix" .... ::shrug::

A short line 16, great little knife. If I remember right the 17 was the same knife but with a spear blade. I think they only made the 17 one year. I ramble.

Appreciate it Floyd. I've got lines on another first gen at a local consignment shop, in negotiations on price between all involved and waiting on word back. Yep, these 72's are more additive than a Tater Chip. ::facepalm::

Very nice group of short line 72 s !!
They all have the federal shield . Now if you could find one without the shield that would top your group off very nicely . They seem harder to find these days . And when you do it is a knife other than bone handles!
Really good to see you back ! The Camillus section was getting a little dusty from being inactive so long. And you polished it up with all your excellent purchases and posts.
