Nice Tim. That handle material is pretty sweet. Surprised that hasn’t been used before on other knife brands.

They may have not even noticed but I have sent him a message. Opinions?

Hi Richard,

Not sure if anyone else answered your question or gave an opinion. In my opinion from your pic, those covers look like horn to me. It also looks like the secondary blade was broken off. That particular knife look alot like ones I have made by Bruckmann.

Jumbo Cigar at 4-1/4" in Stag made by whom? for Schreiber, Conchar & Westphal Dubuque, Iowa c.1892-97 very shortly lived and with all my research have not been able to find any other examples other than Axes. If you have a B.O.E. marked knife please show it or if you have any other valuable information you would love to share, than please do. May you have a blessed Monday because I am! ::ds::

Glennbad,
First thanks for taking a look! Good call on the broken blade, I contacted the seller and they didn’t even realize that it had a second blade and refunded my full purchase price. The knife is very well made and I was planning on keeping it in case. Please pardon my ignorance but who is Bruckmann?
Thanks,
Richard

Bruckmann was a German manufacturer. They made good to high quality (IMO) knives...many with plastic handles, but also higher end ones in pearl, horn and wood.

Am happy to add these two Colonials to my rotation. These came from the man himself, knifeaholic. When he posted that they came from the families of Colonial workers I was intrigued, and when I spied these two in the pile I had to inquire. I have not seen any adds or paperwork for this first pattern. Would be interested in doing so. Until then, I'm calling it the hawkman 8)

The second is a model 2006 from the Swiss Master series. I have the 2008 but don't carry it often, it's a bit wide for the pocket. This 2006 is 2 layers thinner. It also has a narrower profile than the similar mountain guide, but has a scissors and a Phillips instead of a corkscrew. It'll definitely see pocket time.

These are in great shape. There's no natural light to be had at this time, so my pictures aren't doing them justice. They must have also beat the holiday rush. In spite of few extra hundred miles on the delivery route they showed up speedy quick.

Great Pick-Ups everyone!

Just added another Appaloosa 99 to go with the pair I had. One of my favorite Case patterns and I love them with the Appaloosa Bone.
