Help with F-S style knife

This knife was in a collection I bought last weekend . I have read several conflicting things on the internet about identifying these knives so I’m hoping others here can help out. This knife is 11 3/4” long , the blade is 7” long and 7/8” wide . There are no markings anywhere on the guard , and none on the handle whatsoever. The pommel nut is not removable , it is fixed/casted as part of the handle . Reading about these online says that there were some without a removable pommel nut, but it says there was a weld notable to the blade and guard to keep it secure and in place . This knife has no weld at all on either side , and the guard is even slightly wobbly . I took a close up of the steel construction on the blade to try and help with identification . Is it a 1st, 2nd , or 3rd gen ? Is it possibly a WW2 era knife ? Was it perhaps pieced together by someone ? Any information or opinions would be very welcome ! Thanks in advance .

Not very well versed regarding the F/S knives so here’s a pic from a great source. This is from Military knives:A reference book from the pages of knife world magazine. Hope you can read it okay. Will do some more research later and if I stumble across anything useful will let you know

Given the handle construction and material my thoughts is post War. In fact probably made with in the last 20 years or so. Have to do some digging for references to support that.

Yup. I like the WW 2 vintage F/S. Lucky to have several I had gotten reasonably. Have a weakness for daggers in general.
