Amber packing for the next leg of her journey. We added a travel sticker to her luggage to commemorate her stay with me.

It's now official, Amber is on her way to Glennbad!
I'm sad to see her go but very happy that in spite of all the logistical issues at the beginning she is now right on schedule for the rest of Amber Across America.
Be on the look-out Glennbad and enjoy her stay with you.

Enjoy letting Amber work for you instead of you having to work on the knife for once, Glenn

I guess there is always something to cut, even when you ride a chair in an office. I used the little coping blade on Amber to score the orange peel on my Halo at lunch. That blade works great for that!
Later at home, I had to get ready for the arrival of our new dishwasher(that hopefully doesn't leak like the current one!) by removing the current one, so Amber rode shotgun and even got a chance to cut a tie wrap.

I think Amber appreciates you dividing the workload equally between spear and coping, Glenn, that way neither blade gets more (or less) experience than the other
Although the coping blade will likely develop more character from cutting the Halo than the spear with the tie wrap (could be wrong, but I don't think zip ties produce patina!)
Keep up the good work....I like where this is heading

It's a balmy 6 deg. this morning. Amber is not liking the cold weather, and has preferred to remain in my pocket for the time being. I'm sure I will force her into service at some point today...

Re: Amber Across America (AAA) – A Fitting Tribute To Ivoryman
Looking at that pile of snow outside the window I can't say I blame her; made me want to crawl back into bed under a cozy warm blanket
But, just like Amber, I'm pretty sure that I, too, will be "forced into service" at some point later today
Every day's a new adventure

Lookin' good Glenn!! Amber will have a new experience with snow.
BTW, your snow moved south a bit and is falling all over me as we speak. The local forecast says "heavy snow" which means we'll probably get an inch or so.

Glad to see Amber has made it to her next leg of the journey safely and is in good hands with Glenn! Glad you are getting her acclimated to the snow as she's bound to experience more by the time she arrives in Northeast Ohio. Great pics Glenn...Thanks for sharing!

Better keep an eye on those 2 in the picture or you will end up with these in 4-6 weeks.

FYI, my suspicions were confirmed. That "heavy snow" forecast turned in to a forecast of 0.2 to 0.4 inches about two hours after it started snowing!
We got a light dusting that didn't even lay on the streets.

Re: Amber Across America (AAA) – A Fitting Tribute To Ivoryman
Amber didn't get much use this weekend. She helped out a little on Saturday as I installed the new dishwasher, but didn't get to see much more action the rest of the weekend. I was also feeling a little under the weather Sunday, so I didn't want her to catch anything...

Re: Amber Across America (AAA) – A Fitting Tribute To Ivoryman
Amber has been a steady companion in the pocket over the past week. Sorry, not much picture evidence to that statement.
Today I was diagnosing some garland lights that I had strung up. Half of them weren't working, haha. I literally replaced every bulb in that half string to get them working. I would have just bought a new one, but have you seen the prices on those this year?
Anyway, Amber helped me loose some hard to pull bulbs...
