Falkner African Wildlife Series

Post by OLDE CUTLER »

I picked this one up recently in a box of stuff. I have seen Falkner stuff before, junky lockblades with pictures printed on cheap plastic handle material. But this one looks completely different. It is a 5 inch, all stainless, screw assembled, thumb opening, open frame lock blade with a split scale lock. The handle material is laminated wood. Since there is no back spring. a ball and detent system holds the blade closed. This is the #1 African Elephant, I have seen pictures of the #4 Leopard, and the #5 Cape Buffalo, but dont know how many where in the series. Very substantial knife, frame and blade .095 inch stainless. And of course Chinese made. It is a big and fairly heavy knife, so I have not as yet carried it
