Seeking thoughts on Hukill Hunter Pittsburgh

A gorgeous old pen knife in tortoise shell handles. I have looked and looked for information but no luck. I know they didn't make them but I thought someone might recognize the design and suggest a possible manufacturer. Given the design I think it's early 1900s?

Intersting stamp!! Everything about it looks German to me, but that is just a gut feeling.

David you have the wrong spelling of the name.

It's Hukill Hunter Co. Pittsburgh

There is plenty of information online, billheads, knives etc.
