New to me

Post by stayinsharp »

After helping my mom do a little more investigating around the house we found some more of my recently passed stepfather's hidden gems. one of them is this folding Hunter by Parker in Damascus , nickle silver and reddish laminate. similar to a buck but more narrow. I'll be giving it nice clean up and a buff as soon as it dries up outside

Great find ! I have a Parker Damascus Blade, and it’s one of my faves. Especially memorable I’m sure is the fact that was your stepfather‘s. If you wanted to spend just a half an hour or so on it, go over the wood sides and bolsters with 1000 grit, 1500 grit and finish up with 3000 grit, and it’ll look absolutely brand new. I do this to all the old Parkers I find online - love making an old knife with good bones look new again.
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee
